Their name comes from a place called Andur. The Anthur Nair people live in Kerala. They speak, read and write in Malayalam, the language of Kerala.
They make pottery. Their women are especially active in this trade. They also work in cultivation, business and government service. Some of them are are artists and others work in administration. The Anthur Nair prefer cousin marriages. They allow for divorce and remarriage.
They are Hindus, so they worship the spirit beings they believe will grant them favor and protection. Some of them worship snakes.
The Anthur Nair people need the opportunity to be reconciled to the true and living God.
